EPISODE 4 I AM A MONSTER.

It wasn’t her fault. It was mine. I should have told her
about this when she asked me. She did not have to know it this way. She trusted
me, I broke her trust.
I thought there was no more fruit in hiding, she deserved to
know the truth. The girl who gave me a shock walked away, maybe she realized
there was no use in talking to me. But before she left she looked at Kriti in a
manner that made her think she was making a big mistake going out with me, she
was right though. Who would want to go out with a man who was hiding behind the
truth. I didn’t want to hide behind it anymore. So I looked at Kriti in the eye
and said,
“Baby, remember I told you I will tell you everything when
the right time comes. I did not expect it to come this soon. I am not the
person you think I am.”
She’s was even more confused now,
“Baby what are you saying, you are scaring me. What’s going
on??”
-“There is something that you need to know about my past. I was
not like how I am now back then. You are not my first love Kriti. The girl who
just passed by was my first love. I loved her with all my heart but her
feelings were towards my best friend and not me. It made me feel like I’m a
worthless piece of shit. I felt agitated. I wanted her to feel bad. I spread some
bad rumors around the school about them being intimate. It spread like wild
fire not just inside the school but it went up to their parent’s houses. It
felt good as she was cornered by everyone in the class. Everyone started
looking at her like she was wasted. It felt good initially to think that they
were separated but I hadn’t thought about the consequences of my actions . I
aimed the bullet at her but it did not only hit her, it hit my friend too.
People started criticizing him saying that “ he was a cheat , he was a
molester”. He didn’t come out of his room for days , His parents could hear him
cry all night, It made them feel bad, he was not ready to talk about it to his
parents, So they started calling up on his friends and eventually his parents came
to know about this and decided that this had to stop. The Girls parents already
changed her school far from this city, Even
his parents thought that if they too went far from this city, Their son would forget
everything and change himself, But they were wrong, Moving away from her only
made it worse. Few days’ later news came from New York, My best Friend Committed
Suicide. “
“I was broke, I guess,
he loved her more than I did. In fact I did not love her, if I had I would have
felt happy that she was happy with him, but no. I decided to ruin her happiness.
I was a monster. I cried day and night alone in my room. This is when I realized what it was like to be
lonely, what it was like to have someone ruin your happiness. I stopped talking
to my friends and stayed away from girls . One day I decided that I couldn’t
live anymore behind the truth, I went to her and apologized saying all this was
my fault that I only spread the rumors about her, and if not for me her love would have still been alive.
She cried and crushed my shirt with both her hands and shouted,
“WHY……...WHY….……DID
YOU DO IT”.
I couldn’t answer her,
she was crying. I am a monster Kriti, I ruined my best friend’s life, “I AM A
MONSTERRR…….” I said and I cried out loud on her shoulder”
She pushed me away and shouted,
“YOU BET YOU ARE….How could you do this to your
friend kunal, How could you not tell me about this about this before, I trusted
you kunal, you failed me, just like you failed your
friend.”
She walked away with her heads down and crying. I fell on
the ground with my knees and hit my head with both my hands and put my head
down and cried,
“I love you kriti…please don’t go…..please don’t
go….please.”
I knew she was going to react like this, I thought I could
convince her later , I predicted that all this was going to happen but
something that I did not expect also happened.
I knew she was depressed. But why did she have to cross the
road with her head down,
Next thing I could hear was
“ZRRRRRRRR…… (Tires Screeching)”
“A THUDDING SOUND“
LOUD NOICES
AND RUNNIG FOOTSTEPS
I knew something was wrong, I lifted my head slowly and
heard people murmuring and someone was talking over the phone saying
“Accident near the national theme park, victim is unconscious,
Send ambulance immediately”
I didn’t know how to react , my eyes wide opened in shock, I got up and started running towards the
murmuring , I pushed myself through the crowd and saw Kriti Lying there.
I ran towards her, lifted her head and put them on my lap
and cried her name multiple times hoping she would wake up,
“Kriti…..Kriti…...Kriti wake up “
The ambulance came, I went along with it. They took her in a
stretcher to the ICU. I was not allowed to go inside. I waited outside and
wiped my tears and started saying to myself,
“She will be fine... she’s a strong girl, she’ll come back
soon and I will convince her that I’m not the person she thinks I am, I will
convince her that I changed a lot now. I will. I will definitely convince her
when she comes back.”
An hour later ,The Door opened and the doctor came out, My
heartbeat started to increase, I went to the doctor and asked him about Kriti,
the Doctor put his head down and his hand over my shoulder and said,
“ I’m Sorry.”
I Stunned and fell on the Ground.
My heart just couldn’t accept that,
Kriti did not just leave me there , she left me FOREVER.
