REDEMPTION
A Deer roaming around the
forest in the night and bunch of lion's show up from nowhere. The
deer is looked upon as a prey, a festival feast for the night by the
lions. The deer being insensitive as to the intentions of the
lion’s, continues to roam around but with a little bit of fear this time.
As the lions came closer and
closer, deer's fear rises and rises as the sounds of
the footsteps becomes louder and louder. After a few seconds the leader of
group Jump's on the deer and claws up the deer's skin. The Deer is
hunt down and is suffering and shouting from pain, begging the lion to let her
go, but everything goes in vain.
The Lion enjoyed its nice little
part of the flesh and roar's with its stinky blood-filled mouth signalling the other lion's that the deer is up for the
take.
As the ruthless lion's taste, the deer's flesh one by one. The deer looks left and right expecting someone to save her. What hurt her more than the claws was that the other animals in the forest saw she was being hunt down but refused to save her, they were walking away as though nothing was happening there. Every time she saw a fellow animal she cried and shouted for help, hoping at least the cry would change their mind. The lion's finished feeding on the deer and let remains to rot.
The Next day, some of the animals
saw the deer lying unconscious, probably because she was dead. They
didn't bother to help still.
You would have realized the meaning of
the story by now. If you think that it is a sad story, then pity your own life,
because this is what is happening in the world right now.
When are we people going to realize
that the forest belongs to the deer as well as the lion, the deer has the same
rights as that of the lion. Why should the deer suffer because of the
lion's “King of the Jungle" status. After all who said lion was the
king of the jungle, it’s just an old stupid notion. Had the other animals joined their hands to together to
defend the deer, they would have realized back then that the lion is just a
mere animal and is nothing compared to their united force. The deer would
have suffered a lot in its life, starting from being born as a deer in the
first place.
In case you don't understand what, she must go through every day, here is a very small portion of the total suffering:
1. She must bear the lion's
stalking her every day.
2. She must restrict her wishes and
interests so that the other animals don’t discredit her life, just because she
did something she liked.
3. She must sacrifice her dreams to
take care of her family.
4. She survives with fear of being
Hunted Down.
Should she suffer always?
If only we corrected our
perspective of looking at her, all the "Has to..." would have become
"Had to..." and the forest would have been a better place to live
in.
The above maybe simple to read, but no
one other than the deer can realize the true suffering. And even after this if
you think that lions are still the king of the jungle, because they are stronger, then you are hopelessly wrong. Someone who manages suffering everyday is so much more stronger than those who suffer only at certain points in life.
It is a heart hammering truth that,
"The one who is supposed to take care, is actually the one hurting."

I agree with what you say, and it's pretty sad that this is the way the world currently is... But still, nowadays, it's a lot better than before with lots of people supporting women. For every blood thirsty lion out there, there is a compassionate and supportive lion as well... More opportunities for women to speak out, so as to speak. We are definitely improving and we have a long way to go
ReplyDeleteIt's better but not absolute and I hope it stays that way. Because in the earlier days too men protected women but as time passed it took a turnaround and the rates of crime started increasing. I know that more men are trying to protect women now, but I hope that too doesn't take a turn around.
DeleteWell done AM... Another brilliant wrk
