Inexplicable Pondering

How would you know you are good if you were never bad?
How would you know you were born if you never were?
Would someone seem ruthless if none were kind?
Would all be insane if none knew of the mind?
Would it still matter if you're white or tan?
Would the caste wall be up for ban?
Would the concept of math change if all were reversed?
If plus meant subtract and minus meant add;
If the magnets changed their minds and practicality zapped,
Would opposites repel and the like attract?
If makeup were for souls and saloons were for attitudes,
Would it matter if you were still well-clad?
We were taught to listen and never question;
To be a rebel remained only a fiction;
To blindfold oneself and follow the pretentious truth;
Maybe I'm lying, and that'd mean, to be truthful,
You'll still never know, because the world got you confused.

                                                                                                                  - Dharshini Sekar

This is one of the poem's that my friend Dharshini wrote , And i badly wanted to share it because of the metaphor she has used in this poem to define different perspectives. One question brings more and more questions into the picture, instead of solving the puzzle we end up puzzling it even more. I personally love the reference to the caste wall. Though people are ignoring the caste differences now a days it hasn't gone away completely.  Which One did you like the most?
